'Predators' reboot slated for 2010, Robert Rodriguez hopefully too busy to direct

Robert Rodriguez, notorious director of scripts written by his own children, announced yesterday that he will become one of the busiest men in Hollywood over the next two years, directing Machete (based on the hilarious fake trailer that aired before Grindhouse), sci-fi action flick Nerverackers, and the completely unnecessary "reboot" of Predator entitled Predators (sound familiar?)
According to our sources at ERC, Predators will not actually be directed by Rodriguez, although he will be producing and filming it at Troublemaker Studios in Austin, TX, which means Predators has no writer, no director, and officially doesn't even exist yet. Which led me to write this list:
Top 5 People Who Should Direct Predators
  1. Paul Verhoeven (bonus points for being unemployed!)
  2. Danny Boyle (it won't happen, but it'll be awesome)
  3. James Cameron (see above)
  4. Ridley Scott (see above above)
  5. John McTiernan (why not? oh right, he's a felon)
